I have to figure out this problem and I don't understand it. Can someone help me.... please!

ac-ad+bc-bd
___________
ac+ad+bc+bd

times (X)

pc+pd-qc-qd
___________

pc-pd+qc-qd

All the instructions say is to multiply. Can someone tell me how to do this please, and what the answer would be? Thanks very much ahead of time.

A good first step might be to factor the numerators and denominators of the two fractions.

For instance, pc - pd + qc - qd = (pc - pd) + (qc - qd) = p(c - d) + q(c - d) = ..., and so forth. Quite a lot should cancel out. :D
