multiplying 3 fractions???

Ooohhh Boy!
I'm confused...

i have to multiply these 3 fractions to continue in the problem:

6/1 * -7/3 * -1/6 = ?
and i cant remember how

im not sure id u just multipy the last two first or straight across

someone please help me!

Why is it confusing? Do you have any trouble with only two?

(6)*(-7)*(-1) = 42

(1)*(3)*(6) = 18

OR, rearrange first

6/1 * -7/3 * -1/6 = -1/1 * -7/3 * 6/6 = (-1)*(-7/3)*(1) = 7/3

Multiplication is commutative, right?

Nope, i dont have a problem with multiplying two fractions but 4 some reason i thought there was a rule when it came to multiplying 3....thank u so much for answering my question!

Well, you can look at it as multiplying 2 fractions:

6/1 * -7/3 * -1/6 = ?

Multiply 1st two: 6/1 * -7/3 = -42/3

Multiply last one by above : -1/6 * -42/3 = 42/18 : get my drift? :idea:
