Multiplying Fractions: 3/4 * -2/3

im at a loss here....
i have to do this problem

3/4 * -2/3

and i dont remember how to find the common denominatior
ive been on countless sites and cant figure it out!

Don't worry about a common denominator. Multiply the top half of the first fraction by the top half of the second. Multiply the bottom half of the fraction by the bottom half of the second. Put them on top of eachother.

so i got 6/12 and reduced it to 1/2

is that correct???.... :?:
