The two-dimensional electric field caused by a unit point charge at O is the vector
field
Eo(P)=-OP/|OP|^2
Find a potential function for Eo on the Plane with O removed.
I've so far thought about the fact that I need to anti-differentiate the function with respect to x and y and find the constant C that makes these two equal. However, I am not sure what "x" and "y" are in the given function. Would x just be the x value of P - the x value of 0? And then is |OP|^2=(Px-Ox)^2+(Py-Oy)^2 ? If so how would I anti-differentiate that?
