need help on an equation!!!

The problem says (what number should be added to both sides of the equation to solve the equation by completing the square)?

X^2+1/5x=3 there is four answers

answer one 1/100
answer two 1/25
answer three1/5
and answer four 2/5
 
Since you refer to "completing the square", I will assume that you mean your equation to be as follows:

. . . . .x<sup>2</sup> + (1/5)x = 3

What have you tried? (Please be aware that "Eva Barragan" has already advised us that you "all" are taking a test right now, so you might not receive the complete worked solution.

Please reply showing all of the steps you have tried thus far, including plugging in the options and working backwards, if you have done this. Thank you.
