Need help soving an equation

I am trying to solve this problem for my homework
Solve for x: 3/5(x+2)=x-4
I'm not good with fractions
So far i distrubuted nd after that im not sure how to end it and get my final answer
Please help me on this equation

Don't let fractions frighten you. Just follow the same steps you would with any other number.

3/5(x + 2) = x - 4 You said to distribute. OK
3/5(x) + 3/5(2) = x - 4 Now simplify --- that is, work out as much as you can.
3/5(x) + 6/5 = x - 4 Now you have a variable on both sides of the equation. Subtract 3/5(x) from both sides.


6/5 = 2/5(x) - 4 Since 1 - 3/5 = 2/5, x - 3/5(x) = 2/5(x). Add 4 to both sides. Remember 4 = 20/5.


26/5 = 2/5(x) Almost finished ... Since you want one whole x and not 2/5 x, divide each side by 2/5.
Remember that dividing by 2/5 is the same as multiplying by 5/2. 26/5 times 5/2 equals 130/10 or 13.
13 = x

It's always a good idea to check your answer by plugging it into the original equation. I could be wrong. Check my answer. Good Luck with those fractions!
