Need help with long division....

Can someone help me with doing the long division for this problem without a calculator? Thanks.

–0.08x = –2,500
x = 31,250

2500 / 0.08 = 25000 / 0.8 = 250000 / 8 = 125000 / 4 = 66500 / 2 = 31250

Well, what do you mean? Division by hand as taught in classroom?
Multiply by -100 to get rid of negatives and decimals, then go-go-go:

     3
    ------
8 / 250000
    24
    --
     10
carry on...

Btw, "-0.08x = -2500" is an equation, not a division; solving for x requires a division.
