Need help with this. Honestly don't know what category it falls into.

So, was doing some math and came across this question about this certain value (starting at 1) doubling every 5 minutes, asking how many of the "objects" will exist after 2 hours. Now, I can easily do this (1*2. ANS*2. Repeat). But I figured there must be some easier way to do this. I cannot figure out a formula for this.
Please help.

Your "values" are growing as follows:

1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64.....

or

20, 21, 22. 23,......., 26......

continue.....

That depends on your definition of "any situation"! The situation you talked about was something doubling every 5 minutes and you question was the "size" after 2 hours.

Did you calculate the answer to response #2?
