Another question from my mock exam. I have completed parts e and f but don't understand part g, specifically what it means by 'The machine is now reset to produce bolts of a different length' I have took this to mean that the mean and standard deviation have changed but then there are 3 unknowns so I don't know how to solve for k because I am pretty sure if I convert to Z and use inverse normal nothing will happen. Any guidance would be appreciated. Also sorry for posting a lot here but my exam is the 5th of May and I am so unprepared.
