I am not sure how to start this problem, can you help me?
u = 21 days
o = 1 days

If 1000 eggs are being incubated how many chicks do we expect will hatch
in 19-23 days?
in 20-22 days
in 21 day or fewer
in 18-24 days?

I am not sure how to start. Can you get me started and then I think I can take it from there.

Thanks,
Sandy

Re: Normal Probability Distributions

Start by calculating the z-scores for the number of days.

How do I do that?
Um... A good start might be reviewing your lecture notes on this topic, along with the chapter in your book on normal distributions, working through all of the examples until you're pretty sure you understand how they were done. Then reply showing the progress you've been able to make on this particular exercise.

If you were, after review, still unable even to get started, then you would of course be indicating the need for much more help than can be provided within this context. So we look forward to your clear listing of your work and reasoning so far. Please be complete.

Thank you! :D

Eliz.
