I'm trying to solve a problem that seems fairly straightforward but am not certain of my results.
Basically, this is the problem:
• You have a total of 2,131,986 Marbles.
• Each marble is one of 8 colors (yellow, blue, green, orange, red, purple, pink, black)
• You know 1,092,000 of all marbles are RED.
• You then take 53,300 boxes
• You put 40 random marbles inside each box and seal them.
THE PROBLEM: What are the odds for RED marbles in each box? In example 5:1, 4:5 etc.
Too is there a way to know the Odds of how many Red marbles you should randomly get from one box?
Thanks a lot to anyone that can help!
