What grade are you in, Jennifer? That means 3/5 of 35 have pets; or 3/5 times 35. Has your teacher not shown you how to do this?

Hi Jennifer: The phrase "those with pets" refers to a number. This number is specifically 3/5 * 35, just like Denis wrote.
