Can some one please help me with this question? ( In a certain year, the advertising expenses were 23.6 % of the total expenses. In the following year, other expenses increase 5.3 %, but the rising of the total expenses can only be 1.25 %. How many percents, in this case, must the company reduce the advertising expenses? The answer has 2 decimals.

You haven't shown us what you understand, so we can work with that to help you. Please show us whatever you have tried, however small:

One thing you might do to start is to suppose total expenses the first year are, say, $1000. What are the advertising expenses? What are the other expenses? What are they the next year? And so on. Go as far as you can.
