First thing to do is to define your variables. Assuming the b-ball court is rectangular,

let

length of b-ball court = L

You are given

That translates to:

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2L + 2W

2L + 2W = 100 .......................................(1)

The other given is:

...the length is 2 meters longer than twice the width...
