for y=tan x, where 0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 2 x when does the slope of the graph =0

Let me ask this first... How do you find the slope of y = tan(x) at a given value of x? (Hint: 1st derivative.)

I think you meant [MATH]0\le x\le 2\pi[/MATH], not 2x. Right?

An alternative way to think about this is to sketch the graph, which you have probably been taught; what would the graph look like at a place where its slope is zero?
