Hello. What have you thought about or tried, so far?

Did you organize the given information? For example, you could write numbers of players inside a two by two grid.

Label the left column Female; label the right column Male.

Label the top row Blond; label the bottom row Not Blond.

You're told that 3 players are blond females. Write 3 in the spot for blond females (upper left).

Can you reason out the number of players in the other three spots?

PS: Be sure to read the forum guidelines.

I've sorted it into a venn diagram. There are 9 girls, 12 blondes, and 3 of both. I'm confused about where to go from there, I'm tossing up between 15 and 21.

What does your Venn diagram look like?

There are 9 girls, 12 blondes, and 3 of both.
Wait! That's not what you wrote in your first post.

You said there are 15 girls, 12 blondes, and 3 of both.

How are you arriving at two different values from your diagram? You set up the universe and the two circles:

Code:
Venn diagram:

*----------------------------*
| |
| blonde: 12 female:15 |
| ------ ------ |
| / \/ \ |
| / /\ \ |
| | | | | |
| | | | | |
| | | | | |
| \ \/ / |
| \ /\ / |
| ------ ------ |
| |
*----------------------------*
        universe: 24
And then what?

Please reply showing your work, so we can see what's going on. Thank you! ;)
