a figure has congruent diagonals and exactly one pair of opposite parallel. what is the best posible name for this figure. it is a parallelogram, trapezoid, kite or isosceles

I assume your last choice is "isosceles trapezoid"

Your textbook should have sections covering each of these quadrilaterals, with theorems that give the "properties" of each. Read each of those sections carefully. You should be able to eliminate two of the choices immediately (because of what the properties are for those types of quadrilaterals.) And you should also be able to determine which of the remaining two choices is the best fit for the given information.
