Am I correct In saying that point slope isolates x so x=the equation and slope intercept isolates y so y=equation?

I wouldn’t say point-slope isolates x, although it can be done for either form

[MATH]y-y_1 = m(x-x_1) \implies y = m(x-x_1)+y_1[/MATH]
one step to isolate y ...

For slope-intercept form, y is isolated, so you are correct there. ( y = mx + b )
For point slope ( y−y1=m(x−x1) ), x is not isolated.
