Hello,
I need to know the tool to find the answer to this question.
Company A contracts work to Company B who subcontract to Company C.
B can either complete the work themselves and charge an amount to A or sub-contract to C and charge that cost plus B’s overheads to A.
Because of this, for the same role, A may be paying 2 different amounts (with C plus B’s overhead or B).
If I have the invoice data per hour of work for any given role for C+B or B, how can I calculate what B’s overheads should be and therefore the ‘Market rate of one unit of labour’ across various roles.
An example of average cost breakdown.
Assistant: if sub-contracted $50, if not $70
Manager: if sub-contracted $70, if not $110
Senior manager: if sub-contracted $100, if not $110
Director : if sub-contracted $130, If not $180.
It’s entirely possible that I am asking the question the wrong way so any guidance would be helpful.
Thank you!
