a) "Give an example of a power function that is not a polynomial function."
I chose f(x) = 3x^-5

b) "Give an example of a polynomial function that is not a power function."

I really can't think of one...are all polynomial functions power functions? Is there some kind of restriction on a polynomial that would cause it not to be a power function? I know in the first example, the negative exponent makes it not a polynomial.

Thanks.

x5 + x2 is not a power function.
