If a have a normal distribution X -- N(µ,ó²)

and the question now is to find k.

1) Find k such that P(X>k)=0,05 if µ=4, ó²=4
2) Find k such that P(2X>k)=0,05 if µ=4, ó²=4

Does anyone hace an idea what means with these?

Thanks for reading and taking youre time!

I believe that this is using the Cumulative distribution function (cdf). Or, more likely the complimentary Cumulative distribution function (ccdf). THere is most likely an equation in your text which allows you to solve for x given \(\displaystyle \mu\) and \(\displaystyle \sigma^2\). Sorry, I don't remember this too well.
