Look at this expansion.
That is known as a generating polynomial. That is for two dice.
The term \(4x^9\) tells us that there are four ways to get the sum of nine.
You can us that expansion to answer your question.

Sum greater than 10 is : 11,11,12
That means 3/36=1/12

You can get (5,6), (6,5), (6,6) out of 6x6 =36.
