I just want to make sure I am calculating correctly as it has been a while.
Problem:
There is a drawing with 60 tickets and 4 winners. If a ticket is drawn, it is removed and the next winner is drawn.
My understanding is the chance of winning if you only buy 1 ticket being drawn is 4/60 or 6.67%.
The question is if you buy 5 tickets what is the probability of winning with any 1 ticket. The answert I got was 30.06%
probabilty of winning is 1-probabily of not winning 1-((55/60)x(54/59)x(53/58)X(52/57)).
