Hi everyone,

I have been on this proving question for some time, hope to get some help here.

The question goes like this:

Prove the identity ([math](1/cos x - tan x)^2 = (1-sin x)/(1+sinx)[/math]
All the help that can be offered is greatly appreciated, thank you! :D

Can you rewrite tan(x) as a function of sin(x) and cos(x)?

Please show us what you have tried and exactly where you are stuck.
