Hi, I can figure out how to do this problem. I am sure I am making it harder than it is. If anybody could help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

(y-1)squared + (y+1)squared=(y-3)squared

(y-1)^2 + (y+1)^2 = (y-3)^2

(y^2 – 2y + 1) + (y^2 + 2y + 1) = y^2 – 6y + 9

Can you take it from here?
