Quadratics help: (3x + 4)^2 = 14

(3x+4)^2=14

Assuming you want to solve for x, the first step will be to take the square root of both sides. What do you get what you do that? (Don't forget that any positive number has two square roots; that is, 3x+4 could have two different values whose square is 14.)
