Quadrilateral with 2 congruent sides and two other sides not congruent. How do I solve this without Trig?

blamocur was asking that you please reply with a clear listing of your thoughts and efforts so far, so that we can see where things are going sideways. It would probably help if you also told us the topic of the section in your textbook that generated this question. (Different geometry books work through topics in different orders, so sometimes the tool that would be useful for one student will be completely confusing for another.)
