Hello all! Ok I know the quad formula is
x=-b±√b^2-4ac
---------------
2a
So my equation is:
x^2+8x-6=0
So I get to the point of:
-8±√88
---------
2
Now do since i cant get get a nice number for the root of 88, I split it up:
-8±√2*44
-----------
2
this gives me
2(-8±√44)
----------
2
Now what do I do?? Do the two's cancel out and thats my answer or do I have to divide everything by 2? And what would my answer be then?
THank you in advance for the help guys. I really need it.
