how are these equal?

ln x >1 is the same as saying x > e ??

1)
lnx>1 let us examine lnx=1
lnx=1 take inverse ln
x=e
then for lnx>1 x is>e

2)
lnx>1 take inverse ln
x>e

I should think these approaches would be acceptable to your instructor
