Ok So I had to guess what the line was... and I can't figure out what I did wrong...
It passes through the points (-4,2) and (1,-1)
It also has to be in standard form
I got the answer to be 3x+-y=2

I can't figure what you tried, as you showed no work.

The slope of the line is -3/5. Did you start with that?

After using the Point-Slope formula, you will have an equation that may be put into Standard Form.

To clear all fractions, finish by multiplying both sides by the denominator.

In that case, multiply through by the LCD.

Also, regardless of the actual coefficients for the actual equation,
17rkearns, you will not have the final answer with a "+-" in it.
Either it will have a plus sign or a subtraction sign.
