It is projected that t years from now, the population of a certain country will become

P(t) = 71e0.01t million.

At what rate will the population be changing with respect to time 5 years from now?

P'(t)=71e^0.01t(0.01)=e^0.01t
P'(5)=e^0.05 = 1.051

What am I missing here, I thought I knew how to do this one?

Thank you for your help

How did you get that (71) (e[sup:646w0w5m]0.01t[/sup:646w0w5m]) (0.01) equalled e[sup:646w0w5m]0.01t[/sup:646w0w5m]? What happened to the "71" and the "0.001" factors?

Please be complete. Thank you! :D
