Ive been trying to answer this question about rationalizing denominators for a week someone please help I have inserted an image of the equation

Hi cartier rick. I think you've misunderstood the form of the answer. They haven't asked you to actually multiply the numerator and denominator, in those algebraic fractions. They just want you to state what expression you would use on top and bottom, to rationalize the denominator.

For example, in #11 you rationalized the denominator by multiplying top and bottom by the expression √5 + x. So the answer they want is that expression:

√5 + x

?
 
In #10. you have not only misunderstood the question, but have supplied the wrong answer to the question that you thought was posed.

It looks good to me (if the problem had asked to simplify).
