Rewrite in Function Form

I need the following to be written in function form even more exapmles wil help tons....thanks so much...HEEEEEELP!

Rewrite in function form:

1/3y=2/3x+3

take everything times (3)
and get y=2x+9
that might be good
or you could say f(x)=2x+9, but I don't think that is necessary
