10/6 and 13/2 i dont know how to do it

I'll do a similar but different problm for you:

\(\displaystyle Write \ \frac{13}{4} \ as \ a \ mixed \ number\)

We would perform long division for this:
Code:
                   3
               ________
              4) 13
                  12
                 __________
                   1

\(\displaystyle \frac{13}{4} \ = \ 3\frac{1}{4}\)

for aquick review go to:

http://www.purplemath.com/modules/fraction2.htm

Follow the exact same procedure....

10/6 divide 10 by 6=1
the remaining 4 would be the numerator and 6 would be denominator
hence the answer is 1 4/6 or in simplest form 1 2/3

prob#2 13/2 do the same procedure
13 divide by 2=6
the remaining 1 is the numerator and 2 is the denominator
hence we have 6 1/2
