That doesn't make sense! If two numbers are rounded to the nearest hundred then the difference is either 0 or a multiple of 100. It can't be 2.

the difference between them is 100. write what the two numbers could be.

Rounded to the nearest hundredth?????

My attempt at correcting punctuation and capitalization:
"The difference between two numbers is 2. When each number is rounded to the nearest hundred, the difference between them is 100"

Is this the question? Or is it "rounded up"?

Thanks so much?
but how do you arrive at these numbers is there a formula or a wild guess and play with numbers.
Pick 2 numbers 2 apart. Round them. Did you get the same multiple of 100? What must be true to get different multiples of 100?
