I cannot figure out what part of the work you want us to "review" . Please start fresh in a clean sheet. First define your variables - what is "A" and what is "H"? Then write the equations.

Assuming H is number of children and A is number of adults, your initial equations of [imath]H + A = 2330[/imath] and [imath]4H + 8A = 12400[/imath] are good. After that I cannot follow you. Please do as SH asked.

I agree. If I had been given this to grade all I would consider is the top left corner because that is the only work not crossed out. And that it only one equation of the system.

Is there any reason that you thought that it is appropriate to show the solution on a math help forum? Most helpers here think that providing a solution is not helpful.

I agree - but the op is ~4 months old.
