if 1212.00 is 2% of X what is X, I used to be able to do this in 1 step division but I am having a dumb and can not remember.

...and so forth.

Create an equation out of the given parts. Remember therefore that 2 % = 0.02. 1212 is now 0.02 of X. Written in an equation it looks like

1212 = 0.02*X

So go for it by solving for X.

Doing the math, you get x= 1212/.02= 60,600
