If John's billable percentage is 12.48% and he has 189 "billables," how many calls did John have to make to reach 189 billables?
 
We are being asked:

189 is 12.48% of what number?

[MATH]189=\frac{12.48}{100}x[/MATH]
What do you get upon solving for \(x\)?

If you have:

A * x = B (where A and B are some number) then

x = B/A

For example,

2 * x = 6 .................... (in this case A = 2 and B = 6)

x = 6/2 = 3

Another example,

(3/4) * x = 9/2 .................... (in this case A = 3/4 and B = 9/2)

x = (9/2) / (3/4) = 6

Now continue on to your problem......
 
Well, thank you again, Subhotosh, for trying to help me, but I am still lost. I have some cognitive impairment issues and can't seem to be able to convert my problem into the examples you have cited. Any further help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
