I am unsure of the rules or guidelines to simplify this question. I am assuming that the answer would be 0...but I am probably wrong..lol
Any help would be appreciated.

(m^5 n^10 p^500)^0 / (m^50 n^-10 p^400) ^0 this is supposed to be a fraction...but that means to divide anyways right?

No; raising something to the power "zero" does not return a value of zero.

To learn the rules for exponents, including the value of any non-zero number or expression when raised to the power zero, try here.

The original poster states, "… simplify the question". I'm thinking that they mean instead, "… simplify the given expression."

To me, it looks like the given expression is a zeroth power divided by a zeroth power:

(m^5 * n^10 * p^500)^0 / (m^50 * n^[-10] * p^400)^0

I view Staple's response as sufficient.
