Simplify 8a^3-1 / a^2-2a+1

I don't understand the notation but I will factor each term you wrote
[8a^3-1]=[2a-1][4a^2+2a+1]
[a^2-2a+1]= [a-1]^2
[4a^2+2a+1] can't be factored ,only with complex terms
[a-1]^2 can't be factored
you should be able to simplify your expression

And reduce: . 2a - 1
