Hi,

I just got back my test and for one of my solutions my teacher said that I couldn't use the sine law because it doesn't work in a triangle with an angle greater than 90 degrees?

sin a/sinb = A/B

Is there a sort of proof for why I can't use sine law on angles greater than 90? Is there any other limitations for sine law and cosine law?

To answer that question and see where you went wrong, it would help if you posted the exact problem and what you did to solve it.

There must be some misunderstanding somewhere. The law of sines is applicable to all triangles.
