log4 1/64 = x

4^x = 1/64
4^x = 1/3^4
4^x = 3^-4
x = -4

A simple error . . .


\(\displaystyle \log_4\left(\frac{1}{64}\right) \:=\: x\)

\(\displaystyle 4^x \:= \:\frac{1}{64}\)

\(\displaystyle 4^x \:= \frac{1}{3^4}\;\Leftarrow\;\) Here! .Of course, you meant: \(\displaystyle \,\frac{1}{4^3}\)

Then we have: \(\displaystyle 4^x\:=\:4^{-3}\;\;\Rightarrow\;\;x\,=\,-3\)
