You need to be careful when you say cancel out. For example 7-7 cancels out to zero while 7/7 cancels out to 1 and 14/7 cancels out to 2. As you see, when terms/factors cancel out they do not always cancel out to the same value. As a result you really should not use the phrase cancels out.

yp u r right, im still stuck with the question, can you help how to do that?

for first fraction: 1/j+2 (j+2)*(j+4)*(J+3) ??? and the other two fractions will be done as the image below?? please tell all of it in next reply im really in a bind here also many thanks for helping with above to all of you

With your post #20 I thought you'd got it!

You need to multiply the equation in question 2 by
(j+4) (j+3) (j+2)

You'll end up with 3 quadratics to expand using FOIL

Then gather like terms
