there is a bit of simple algebra involved.

What is the expression for
[sin(phi) + 1] ..................................and
[1- sin(phi)] ...............................and
{sin(phi) + 1] / [1- sin(phi)]}?

Now continue......

Knowing that [imath]\log_{10}\frac{\omega_1}{\omega_3}=c[/imath] can you express [imath]\omega_3[/imath] in terms of [imath]\omega_1[/imath] and [imath]c[/imath]?

I would first express divide [imath]\displaystyle\frac{\sigma_1}{\sigma_3}[/imath] as a power of 10, and then the numerator and denominator of [imath]\displaystyle\frac{\sigma_1-\sigma_3}{\sigma_1+\sigma_3}[/imath] by [imath]\sigma_3[/imath]. The rest is easy.
