How do you solve 4x3−2x=2 ?
I've gotten to 2x3−x−1=0, but I don't know where to go from there.
I know x=1 is a solution, but I'd like to know how to solve this without guessing.
EDIT: Using synthetic division, this factors to (2x2+2x+1)(x−1)=0.
