I am trying to solve x+y=56 and y=3x by using substitution, and I can never remember if this means I am supposed to pick two numbers to plug into the equation, or if it starts another way. All I know is they have to equal so I should solve the y=3x first right? Any gwet suggestions on how to at leastget it started?
