What are the three types of special triangles? and how is the Pythogarean Thereom relate to it?

There are several different ways to categorize triangles, so I can't be sure which list you want. Do you have a textbook that might contain the answer?

The Pythagorean Theorem applies to one particular kind of triangle -- which is it? That might give you a hint as to which other two types would be most likely to be listed with it.

But the more you tell us about what you have learned, and the context of the question, the more we can help you figure out what answer is expected. That includes being sure to quote the problem exactly as given to you.

1 - solve the equation.
2, 3 - you need to find angles, not sides. Look up types of triangles and properties of their angles.

There are three types of triangles. A right triangle, an acute triangle and an obtuse triangle. There are special types of triangles even within those special triangles.
If a right triangle we have Phythagorean Theorem and for the other two we have a consequence of the Pythagorean theorem which are the law of sines and the law of cosines.

Another classification of triangles, besides acute, right, and obtuse (which relate to angles), is equilateral, isosceles, and scalene (which relate to both angles and sides). Only the first set have a connection to the Pythagorean theorem, but both would be answers to the first question, about "three types of special triangles". But even then, I'm not sure whether the word "special" fits all the triangles in either set.

It appears that hoosie has taken the answer to include the 30-60-90 and 45-45-90 triangles, and perhaps the third could be the equilateral triangle.

So, @CCSU011, what have you been taught about "special triangles", and why do you ask?
