It takes 20 minutes to cut a log into 5 equally-sized pieces. How long will it take cut a similar log into 3 equally-sized pieces?

I tried a proportion 5/20 = 3/x. I solved the proportion and got x = 12 minutes. Am I right?

To cut a log into 3 equal pieces you need to have 2 cuts. ? We need 10 minutes to cut a log into 3 equally sized pieces.
