I want to draw your attention to a very interesting topic.
As you know,we can fit a data by y=a0+ a1*x , and then by
y=a0+a1*x+a2*x^2 ,and then
y=a0+a1*x+a2*x^2+a3*x^3 , and so on…
Now for a given point of xi(out of [xmin xmax] interval)
We can find yi through fitting by every of above equations,
and draw yi,s versus n(order of polynomial)
Now How we can find the value of yi
versus 1.6 or 1.5 or 2.65 ,…
(as order of polynomial)

Remember

by definition, Polynomial s can have integer order only - cannot have fraction order.
