THAT SAID....did you try simplifying the left side of the equation?

Multiply each term inside the parentheses by the "4" which is outside:

4*9 + 4*3t - 12 = -6

36 + 12t - 12 = -6

Combine like terms on the left side:

24 + 12t = -6

Ok...can you take it from there? If not, please repost and show us ALL of the work you've done to try to complete the problem.
